The following are examples of abbreviated Innovator sessions. Each has a recommended group size but this can be altered to fit the requirements of the organization interested in the session. Also listed is the suggested minimum time to allocate for the session. If more time is available, then topics can be covered in more breadth and depth. Short sessions can be mixed and matched to cover various topics for a group over several days.

Strategic Focusing Workshop

An accelerated paced Strategic Focusing Workshop covers all the topics areas in a full day or multiday session, but the conversations are shortened. Using the results of this workshop, you can continue to develop the strategic outline within your organization.

Minimum Time: 4 hours

SWOT

Strengths / Weaknesses / Opportunities / Threats – this commonly used protocol can be the basis of a strategic conversation and applied to a topic of your choice.

Focus Groups

These custom sessions are designed to gather information from a group of people on one or more topics. Participants may contribute by answer pre-defined questions, prioritize preferences and interests, and participate in brainstorming activities.

Understanding the Customer

Have a clear understanding of what defines up a successful customer profile can contribute to your organization’s ability to attract and retain customers with whom you can add real value. As well as identify those who may prove more difficult to service.

Predicting Economic Change

Do you sell to several industries or geographical areas? Use the best thinking of your team to try and predict the timeframes, and direction of economic change for your clients so you are ready to provide products and services in a timely and strategic manner.

Investment Planning

Do you have a several projects, products, or activities you are looking to begin, but only limited resources to apply? Whether those resources are funding, available talent, or time, the decision of where to apply those resources can be difficult. During this session, the criteria for evaluating and selecting the best choice will be identified and the projects (or products, etc.) will be evaluated to identify those most in line with your organizations strategic goals.

Team Values

What are the qualities and organizing principles that define your team? What is the visible brand that your group presents in its actions? By identifying a clear set of values that the team embodies, and desires to attain, the group can build cohesion and work towards a shared identity.

Brainstorming

Do you have a topic on which you want to focus the best thinking of your group? Do you want to experiment with solutions to problems or issues your organization is facing? By leveraging the insights of your group you may uncover ways to make breakthrough advancements in your organization.
